Platform Terms

1. Acceptance of terms

AGRIPA is operated by Mankappian Research Limited ("Mankappian", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you use AGRIPA on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

2. Your account

Accounts are personal and must not be shared. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and must notify us if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Free access and licences

Registration provides free access to a selection of AGRIPA data and features.

Additional data and features are available under an organisational licence. Access is limited to authorised users within the licensed organisation and remains available for the duration of the licence.

When a licence expires, access to licensed data and features ends unless the licence is renewed.

4. Licence agreements

Where an organisation has a separate licence agreement with Mankappian, that agreement governs its licensed access and takes precedence over these terms in the event of any conflict.

5. Permitted use of data

You may use AGRIPA data and exports for your own professional work and the internal business purposes of your organisation, subject to any applicable licence restrictions.

You may incorporate findings derived from the data into internal reports, investment assessments and client deliverables, provided this does not involve distributing substantial portions of the underlying dataset.

You may not:

• Resell, sublicense or provide third parties with access to the AGRIPA dataset.
• Reproduce or distribute AGRIPA data in a form that enables third parties to use it as a standalone dataset or as a substitute for accessing AGRIPA.
• Systematically extract, scrape or reproduce the database without written permission.

These restrictions do not limit your rights to use, reproduce or redistribute underlying information made available under open data licences, including Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 and the Open Government Licence, subject to their respective conditions.

6. Personal data relating to asset owners

Some assets are associated with identifiable private individuals. Access to their names and related personal information may be restricted to appropriately licensed organisations.

Where access is provided, this information may only be used for lawful business purposes connected with the relevant assets, including investment assessment, valuation, due diligence and potential acquisition discussions.

Users and their organisations are responsible for ensuring that their use of personal information complies with applicable data protection and direct marketing laws.

Personal information obtained through AGRIPA must not be sold, published or disclosed outside the licensed organisation unless expressly authorised by Mankappian or otherwise permitted by law.

These restrictions do not apply to information independently obtained from other lawful sources.

7. Intellectual property

AGRIPA, including its software, database structure, original analysis and presentation, is owned by or licensed to Mankappian Research Limited.

The platform brings together information from publicly available sources, including government registers, regulatory bodies and network operators. Rights in underlying third-party information remain with their respective owners, where applicable.

Some underlying information is available under open licences that permit independent commercial use and redistribution. These terms do not override those rights.

Access to AGRIPA does not transfer ownership of Mankappian's intellectual property.

8. Data accuracy and liability

AGRIPA combines third-party information with our own research, estimates and analysis.

We take reasonable care in preparing and maintaining the data but do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or suitability for any particular purpose.

The platform provides information for research and analytical purposes. It does not constitute investment, financial or legal advice. Users are responsible for independently verifying information before making investment or commercial decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, Mankappian is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or business opportunities, arising from use of the platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe an account is being misused, these terms have been breached, or continued access presents a security or legal risk.

You may stop using AGRIPA at any time and request closure of your account.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.

Where changes materially affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you and request your acceptance.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information relating to platform users and individuals included in our datasets.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. The courts of Scotland and England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms, subject to applicable law.
